University Taste and Smell Center
Taste and smell can have a big impact on a person’s quality of life. About 2 million Americans currently are affected by taste or smell disorders, some of which can be very serious.
Loss of taste and smell may be a sign of sinus disease, growths in the nasal passages or, in rare instances, brain tumors. Because of the complexity of these disorders, many health professionals are unaware of how to properly treat and diagnose patients.
Allen Seiden, MD, a leader in the field of otolaryngology for 23 years, established the University Taste and Smell Center in order to provide clinical evaluation and treatment for these patients.
At the University Taste and Smell Center, we perform an array of testing to determine the seriousness of a patient’s disorder. Through our state-of-the-art care and diagnosing, we strive to provide the best treatment option available today.
