Removable prostheses which replace missing facial structures. They are usually made of silicone rubber and are held in place by either adhesive cement or by attachment to bone anchored implants.
Cosmetic and Reconstructive Goals Facial prostheses can be used replace large missing tissues of the face (such as nose, ear, eye, teeth, palate) and still give an acceptable appearance in the public. Each prosthesis is tailored to the appropriate contour, color and shape to simulate a natural appearance. The major goal is the have the prosthesis blend in with the face so that each patient will feel more confident with their appearance.
Reconstructions of the head and neck We treat a wide range of craniofacial disorders after trauma. Nasal fractures, temporal bone trauma, mandible trauma, injury of the orbit and facial nerve, and laryngeal and upper airway injuries are treated by our physicians.
