Sleep Apnea
Obstructive sleep apnea is a sleep disorder which can increase a person’s risk of cardiovascular disease and motor vehicle accidents, cause daytime sleepiness and result in performance deficits. Diagnosis is made with the help of a sleep study. Treatment options include mechanical devices such as nasal CPAP or an oral appliance, weight loss, and surgery.
Many treatments are available, for chronic patients with sleep apnea and a history of snoring.
