What should I expect? When you first visit University Hearing Aid Associates, you will receive a thorough hearing evaluation from an audiologist. This examination will reveal the type and degree of your hearing loss and determine if you are a candidate for hearing aids.
We encourage you to have a medical examination by an ENT physician before purchasing a hearing device. If we find that you have ear medical problems, we offer express access to our ENT physicians at (513) 475-8400. You may waive the option to see a physician.
Hearing aid evaluation appointment During this one-hour appointment, an audiologist will explain your hearing loss and discuss your hearing needs and concerns. This information will help determine the best size and type of hearing aid(s) for your needs. We offer a variety of different technologies and sizes (these aspects determine cost).
Prices typically range from $900 to $2,700 for one hearing aid. We will work with you to find the hearing aid that best suits your needs, preferences and budget. You will be receive a price quote for the hearing aids and associated costs. You can also obtain a copy of your audiogram at your request. There is a $30 charge for the evaluation appointment.
Hearing aid fitting appointment During this one-hour appointment, the audiologist will explain the use and care of your new hearing aids. We offer a 30-day trial period to test the instruments in your own environment. During this time, you will have follow-up appointments for fine-tuning adjustments. If you are dissatisfied with your hearing aids, you may return them at any time during the 30-day trial period. You may then try other instruments or claim a refund of all costs except the hearing evaluation, ear mold and a small fee for the use of the hearing aids.
